The General
Assembly (GA) is the topmost organ and comprises
representatives of malaria R&D institutions in Africa and
allied institutions outside Africa. The GA Meets every 2
years and is responsible for electing the Board of
Trustees and the Scientific Coordinating Committee.
The Board of Trustees (BoT)
This is the ultimate authority in matters of policy and
investment. The BoT oversees the general governance,
regulation and control of AMANET.
Currently, the members of the Board are:

Prof. Yadon M Kohi, Tanzania
Prof. Wenceslaus L Kilama, Tanzania, Secretary
Prof. Rose Leke, Cameroon
Prof. Marcel Tanner, Switzerland
Dr. Louis Miller, USA
Dr. Regina Rabinovich, USA
Dr. Dan Kaseje, Kenya
Dr. Hassan Mshida, Tanzania
Dr. Søren Jepsen, Denmark
The Scientific Coordinating Committee (SCC)
Is constituted of senior research scientists elected by
the General Assembly. The SCC is responsible for receiving
and reviewing reports from the Secretariat and from the
Expert Committees. It also advises the BoT on scientific
matters. Another function of the SCC is reviewing research
proposals and letters of expression of interest and M&E of
ongoing and completed research projects.
The Trial Sites Developing Committee (TSDC) is
drawn from the SCC and is appointed by the BoT. TSDC
advises AMANET on all matters concerning malaria
intervention trial sites.
The Secretariat
The Executive organ of the Trust,
Serves the Board of Trustees and all the committees.
Currently it comprises the following:
